There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to treating substance use disorders.

Alcohol and drug use will vary from person to person, and each patient has unique needs on their path to healing. Like other health conditions, there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to treating substance use disorders.

Origins Recovery & Counseling in Dallas, Texas, offers several treatment options for men and women seeking recovery. Our therapists provide in-person, intensive outpatient programming (IOP) and outpatient services (OP). No matter what your unique circumstances, we provide world-class treatment for substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Origins Recovery & Counseling Can Help If You Have:

  • Co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions
  • Completed medical detox or are otherwise free of withdrawal risk
  • A relatively stable living environment or community support
  • Enough stability to participate in therapy

Dedicated, Compassionate Therapists

Each patient of Origins Recovery & Counseling is assigned a primary therapist who will facilitate the entire psychological, psychiatric, social and family assessment process. These compassionate counselors work directly with you through the course of your treatment in various groups and weekly individual sessions. Our intensive therapeutic and psycho-educational groups are skillfully designed to help you heal from the effects of substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Services and Modalities Through Origins Recovery & Counseling Include:

  • Counseling for co-occurring mental health conditions
  • Individual and group therapies
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Psychiatric care through our preferred provider
  • Continuing care and discharge planning

Programming Designed for Your Life

Topics covered in groups and individual therapy are focused on the real issues that keep people “stuck” in addiction. Our curriculum leverages dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) techniques, which are proven tools for improving how we relate to ourselves and others.

We Address Real-World Issues

  • Distress tolerance and emotional regulation
  • Facing challenges in early recovery
  • Healthy relationships
  • Family dynamics
  • Mindfulness practice
  • Relapse prevention/recovery protection
  • Setting and maintaining boundaries
  • 12-Step recovery principles
  • Coping with grief, loss, and stress

In-Person, Intensive Outpatient Program for Women

Women face unique challenges on the path to recovery, and we offer a gender-separate program the equips and inspires each woman for lifelong wellness. Our in-person, intensive outpatient program (IOP) for women provides a supportive and flexible environment that takes a woman’s work and home life into account. Overseen by our expert team of female therapists, this program addresses the same concerns as inpatient treatment, including trauma, grief, loss, body image issues, and healthy relationships.

Outpatient Treatment

Unlike residential care, outpatient programming allows you to maintain social, business, and family obligations while you immerse yourself in the process of recovery. Origins Recovery & Counseling’s outpatient services are tailored to each patient’s needs, with time commitments ranging from a few hours a week to several hours a day. This treatment option consists of handpicked therapies provided in individual and group settings. Programs may also offer medical care and medication-assisted treatment for those who need it.

The Goals of Therapy

Treatment options at Origins Recovery & Counseling are designed to support long term recovery. Like our other programs, our mission is to provide a clear path to a life of healing and restoration.

As a Team of Credentialed Therapists, We Encourage:
